SAPS TO LAUNCH TRADITIONAL POLICING CONCEPT IN LIMPOPO

LUTENDO LIVHEBE – MUDAU. The South African Police Service in Limpopo will Launch the Provincial Traditional Policing Concept at Mokwakwaila Policing area outside Tzaneen in Mopàni District on Friday 2022-12-09.

The Provincial Commissioner of the South African Police in Limpopo Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe will be hosting this event which will be graced by the Deputy National Commissioner of Policing Lieutenant General T Mosikili, Divisional Commissioner, Lieutenant General Mothlala, Greater Letaba Local Municipality, Traditional Leaders in the Limpopo Province and other Government Officials.

The Traditional Policing Concept seeks to Operationalise the partnership in Policing within the Traditionally led Communities. This Concept was developed following the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MOU) between the SAPS and various stakeholders, including the Provincial House of Traditional Leaders and the Department of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs.

The event will be attended by the ,Local Mayor of Greater Letaba Cllr Mamanyuwa, Deputy National Commissioner Policing; Lieutenant General Mosikili, Divisional Commissioner Lieutenant General Mothlala,Provincial Commissioner Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe, Traditional Leaders in Limpopo, other dignitaries and relevant stakeholders.

Five mobile Trucks will be handed over to the five District Commissioners ON Friday, 9 December 2022 FROM 07:00 to 09:00 at Mokwakwaila Community Hall.
