MEDIA BRIEFING WITH THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC PROSECUTIONS NORTH WEST DIVISION
In keeping with the National Prosecuting Authority’s (NPA) mandate to fight the scourge of crime, and bring the necessary stability to the institution, President Cyril Ramaphosa appointed the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) in the North West. The appointment of Dr Rachel Makhari Sekhaolelo is fundamental in bolstering the seriousness of the justice cluster’s aims to intensify its fight against crime within the province.
It is with this notion that the DPP invites members of the media to a briefing, to update on strategy and overall performance, especially in dealing with priority crimes in the North West. This engagement will focus on various issues, including gender-based violence and femicide cases and high-profile matters of fraud, corruption, environmental crimes, and organised crime.
The DPP will be accompanied by Deputy Directors, Chief Prosecutors, and other Senior Managers of various units within the NPA in the North West this Wednesday, 07 December 2022 at Megacity Complex- East Gallery, 139 Sekame Road, Mafikeng from 10h00.
