Role Overview

You will be responsible for managing the full reconditioning (recon) process of all incoming vehicle stock to ensure each car meets showroom-quality standards.

This role requires strong attention to detail, cost control, and leadership skills, as you will oversee a small team and manage the recon process as a profit centre.


Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate repairs with internal teams and external service providers while managing costs
  • Track and update vehicle status on internal systems
  • Perform quality control to ensure all vehicles meet brand standards
  • Allocate and manage costs per vehicle within budget
  • Oversee off-site vehicles and ensure timely recon work
  • Generate progress reports for sales teams
  • Take full responsibility for all incoming stock
  • Continuously improve systems and processes
  • Collaborate with team members to enhance efficiency

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 (Matric)
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar retail/automotive environment
  • Valid driver’s license (Code 08) and own transport
  • Strong English communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Additional languages (Xitsonga, isiZulu, Afrikaans) advantageous
  • Contactable references
  • Clear criminal record

Working Hours

  • 6-day work week (45 hours), including Saturdays
  • Rotational public holiday work
