BROTHERS APPEAR IN COURT FOR MALEBOHO GBV-RELATED MURDER AND ATTEMPTED MURDER
POLOKWANE: The two brothers arrested in connection with the brutal murder and attempted murder that occurred at Wegdraai Village under the Maleboho policing area on Monday, 01 September 2025, have appeared before the Senwabarwana Magistrate’s Court today, Wednesday 03 September 2025.
The younger brother, Johannes Makhura (20), was charged with murder, defeating the ends of justice, and contravening the Immigration Act. His elder brother, Jonas Makhura (55), is facing charges of murder, attempted murder, and contravening the Immigration Act. Both suspects are Zimbabwean nationals.
The two were remanded in custody until 15 September 2025, when they will appear before the Maleboho Periodical Court.
