Lieutenant-General Lineo Ntsiea, a high-ranking official in the South African Police Service (SAPS), is at the centre of a damning scandal that questions the integrity of the law enforcement institution she serves. Multiple sources now allege that Ntsiea is not who she claims to be, but in fact Maletsatsi Ngouwa, a woman from Lesotho with a criminal record for theft at Tilo High School in Welkom. It is alleged that Ngouwa stole the identity of a relative—a teacher named Ntsiea—and used fraudulent academic documents to join SAPS.
