MUTALE POLICE INVESTIGATE MURDER AND ATTEMPTED MURDER IN DZIMAULI, TSHIBVUMO FOLLOWING SHOOTING

POLOKWANE: Mutale Police are investigating a murder and an attempted murder cases that occurred in Dzimauli, Tshibvumo, on Saturday, 24 January 2026 , at about 22:22.

According to information, a 42-year-old male was returning home accompanied by his girlfriend when they apparently heard gunshots on the street. They reportedly encountered an unknown male suspect wearing dark clothing, who allegedly threatened to kill him. The male victim surrendered while his girlfriend managed to flee.

The suspect allegedly shot the man in the lower body. He was taken to the hospital for medical treatment.

The following morning, at around 06:00, police were informed of an male lying on the street . . Upon arrival, police confirmed that a 21-year-old male had sustained gunshot wounds to the upper body and was pronounced dead at the scene by Emergency Medical Services. His identity will be revealed as investigations unfold.

The suspect remains unknown and at large.
