LIMPOPO POLICE ARE READY TO ENSURE SAFETY DURING THE CARLING BLACK LABEL FINAL MATCH BETWEEN ORLANDO PIRATES AND MARUMO GALLANTS AT THE NEW PETER MOKABA STADIUM

Polokwane: – The South African Police Service (SAPS) in Limpopo, through the Provincial Joint Operational and Intelligence Structure (PROVJOINTS), has put measures in place to ensure safety during the Carling Black Label final between Orlando Pirates Football Club and Marumo Gallants scheduled on Saturday, 06 December 2025 at the new Peter Mokaba stadium.

The Provincial Commissioner of the Police in Limpopo, Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe, has reiterated that comprehensive security measures and protocols are in place to ensure the safety and security of spectators, soccer players and stakeholders at the event.

“Our integrated security plan incorporates all necessary measures to safeguard everyone at the stadium and the entire Polokwane policing precinct. We have mobilized multi-disciplinary resources to ensure the smooth and safe execution of this high-profile soccer match. The police, in collaboration with various role players, will be strategically deployed to maintain law and order. We want to assure the football community that all necessary measures have been put in place to ensure a safe and incident-free soccer match,” said Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe.

The police will be on high alert to monitor any unlawful activities to ensure the event’s success. All attendees and the public at large are encouraged to report any suspicious behavior to the law enforcement authorities and to adhere to the security protocols that are put in place.
