THREE SUSPECTS ARRESTED FOR OFFENCES INCLUDING POSSESSION OF AN UNLICENSED FIREARM, AMMUNITION AND ILLICIT CIGARETTES IN CAPRICORN AND SEKHUKHUNE DISTRICTS
POLOKWANE The Provincial Commissioner of Police in Limpopo Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe has praised the multi-disciplinary team for their ongoing hardwork and the impact of the operations that started on Thursday , 13 November to Friday 14 November 2025. During Operation Shannela 11, three suspects were arrested at Senwabarwana policing area. In the first incident a male suspect was arrested at Dilaeneng Village for possession of unlicensed firearm (pistol) and ammunition. This after the multi-disciplinary teams followed on the information about a man in possession of firearm. On their arrival at the address, the members conducted a search at the house and as a result found an unlicensed firearm with ammunition, as well as 26 sachets containing suspected drugs .
At Boknafarm village Senwabarwana policing area on Friday 14 November 2025, the Provincial Intervention team, together with Mighty Security have arrested a 52- year- old female suspect for possession of illicit cigarettes that were found at her residence in hiding places.
Meanwhile in Sekhukhune District, members received an Intelligence information about a male suspect who was in possession of an unlicensed firearm at the taxi rank. The information was operationalised, and a male suspect was identified at the Street and apprehended.
The arrested suspects will appear before various Magistrate’s courts in the coming week, facing a variety of offenses.
