Lekompo musician Lehlohonolo Chauke, popularly known as Shebeshxt, has had his case postponed to November 21, 2025, at the Polokwane Magistrate’s Court in Limpopo. Shebeshxt is facing charges of attempted murder, malicious damage to property, and unlawful possession of a firearm.

The 30-year-old artist was arrested on November 12, 2025, following an incident on October 19, 2025, where he allegedly fired shots at another vehicle, injuring a 34-year-old man. The victim was seriously injured and hospitalized.

Shebeshxt’s lawyer, Lot Ramusi, is seeking to have the case consolidated with other pending matters, which could lead to the charges being upgraded to Schedule 6, making it more difficult for him to secure bail.

The prosecution is confident in their case and is working to gather more evidence, including forensic analysis of seized vehicles and witness statements. If convicted, Shebeshxt faces a lengthy prison sentence ¹ ² ³.

The case has sparked public interest, with some fans supporting Shebeshxt and others calling for justice to take its course. The trial is expected to resume on November 21, 2025
