Trial Postponed for Alleged Malamulele Police Station Robbers

The trial of eight men accused of robbing the Malamulele police station of firearms has been postponed to Monday next week in the Polokwane High Court. The postponement was granted after the first accused, Fokisi Mabunda, appointed a new legal representative.

The accused allegedly stole several firearms from the police station and used them to carry out a string of crimes across Limpopo and Mpumalanga. They face 94 charges, including murder, attempted murder, conspiracy to commit robbery, and multiple counts of robbery.

The trial was previously adjourned due to one of the accused, Tebogo Ramalatso, falling ill and collapsing in court. Judge Jane Ngobeni postponed the matter to allow Ramalatso time to recover
