BREAKING NEWS : Zim and Malawi to pay costs for all bus crash victims
Zimbabwe and Malawi have committed to paying full repatriation and medical costs, for all victims of the Limpopo bus crash that claimed 44 lives on the N1 near Louis Trichardt. The pledge follows confirmation from the Limpopo Premier’s office that a 44th passenger died in hospital after the Sunday night tragedy.
Transport officials say the two governments will coordinate with South African authorities to ensure families receive the necessary support for returning bodies and treating survivors. The crash, which involved a bus travelling from the Eastern Cape to Zimbabwe and Malawi, left dozens injured and is under investigation by the Road Traffic Management Corporation .
