POLICE ACTIVATE MANHUNT FOR MURDER SUSPECT AFTER 18-YEAR-OLD MALE STABBED AND KILLED IN GA-PHASHA MOLAWETSE VILLAGE

POLOKWANE: The Police in Burgersfort in Sekhukhune District are investigating a murder incident that occurred in Ga- Phasha Molawetse Village. The deceased, an 18-year-old male, was reportedly attacked and stabbed with a sharp object, on 5 October 2025 at around 05:30 while in the company of a friend.

Reports indicate that the victim and his friend were confronted by two individuals who accused the deceased of disrespecting others. During the altercation, one of the suspects, a visitor to the village, allegedly drew a knife and stabbed the deceased in the upper body. He sustained serious injuries. His parents were immediately alerted, and he was transported to a local clinic before being transferred to Mankweng Hospital, where he tragically passed away on 7 October 2025.

A case of murder has been opened, and the suspect has been identified but is currently at large. A manhunt is underway.
