MUSINA POLICE ARREST ONE SUSPECT AFTER ROBBERY WITH FIREARM AND KIDNAPPING OCCURRED NEXT TO THE MALL
POLOKWANE: The South African Police Service in Musina under Vhembe District has arrested a male suspect (age still to be confirmed) after a robbery with firearm and kidnapping incident that occurred on Saturday, 04 October 2025 at approximately 10:58 near Musina Mall.
According to the 32-year-old complainant, he was driving his vehicle towards Musina Mall when a silver Mercedes-Benz suddenly blocked his path. Two unknown males exited the vehicle armed with firearms. The suspects forced themselves into the complainant’s car, compelling him to sit in the middle while one of the suspects drove.
The suspects drove the complainant to the Haper area, where they searched him and stole R50,000. Shortly afterward, another Mercedes-Benz arrived, and the suspects left in that vehicle, abandoning the complainant at Haper next to the airport with his car.
The Police conducted an immediate manhunt. On Sunday, 05 October 2025, at around 10:00, one suspect was apprehended on the N1 road near Musina Mall. The remaining two suspects are still at large, and police investigations are ongoing.
Arrested suspect will appear before the Musina Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday, 07 October 2025.
