BREAKING NEWS: HAWKS RAID JOHN MPE OFFICES FOR ALLEGED CORRUPTION
Hawks in Limpopo are reportedly raiding the offices of Polokwane Executive Mayor John Mpe and Municipal Manager Thuso Nemogumoni. The probe is related to allegations of multimillion rand corruption linked to tender kickbacks and Makoro Foundation.
The Hawks manage to obtain order from the High court to start with the investigations.
It is alleged that the money laundered was used to fund expensive lifestyle or the mayor and municipal manager.
Last month, a whistleblower Thapelo Molepo made revelations of tenders allegedly awarded linked to John Mpe’s cronies. Molepo also alleged that millions were paid to fund the multimillion rand estate of the Municipal Manager.
