POLICE IN GIYANI LAUNCHED A MANHUNT FOR SUSPECTS WHO SHOT AND KILL A CUSTOMER AT XIKUKWANI VILLAGE

POLOKWANE The South African Police Service at Giyani in Mopani Districtb have launched a manhunt for unknown suspects who committed business robbery and shot dead a customer during the robbery at Xikukwani village in Giyani on Thursday morning.

It is reported that on Thursday 07 August 2025 at around 08:00, the four suspects three males and female armed with fireams entered the shop pretending to the customer.

They robbed the customers of an undisclosed amount of money and cellphones, and they proceeded to the tellers where the money were also taken. A male customer victim was robbed of his car keys and also shot and injured while queuing on the tellers.

The victim was taken to the hospital, where he, he later succumbed to his injuries the next day, and qas identified as 54-year-old Jimmy Hlungwani.
