PROVINCIAL ANTI-CORRUPTION UNIT EFFECTED AN ARREST OF A 46 YEAR-OLD MANAGER OF A PRIVATE VEHICLE TESTING STATION

POLOKWANE: The members of Provincial Anti-Corruption Unit received a complaint about a Manager of a Private Vehicle Test Station in Seshego who Attempted to offer a gratification in a form of cash to the Investigating Officer who was handling a case in which he is a suspect on Monday 14 July 2025 .

The offer was in exchange to release some gadgets that were seized during a search and seizure operation conducted last week in connection with the alleged corrupt activities that were allegedly committed at the Vehicle Testing Station.

An entrapment operation was setup in Polokwane and a 46 year-old male suspect handed in a R5000.00 in cash to the Investigating Officer and
was immediately nabbed following the bribe.

The suspect will make his first court appearance at Polokwane Magistrate court on Tuesday 15 July 2025.

Police investigations are continuing.
