A 27 YEAR-OLD CAR-JACKING AND ATTEMPTED MURDER SUSPECT REMANDED IN POLICE CUSTODY
POLOKWANE: Provincial Vehicle Crime Investigation Unit (VCIU) together with Polokwane VCIU conducted an operation focusing on tracing of two outstanding male suspects who were allegedly terrorising the residents of Thohoyandou and Vuwani policing areas,Vhembe District with car-jackings and an attempted murder incident.
The operation continued on Friday 30 May 2025 at about 02:00 and subsequently resulted in apprehension of a 27 year-old male suspect while driving a motor vehicle believed to be used to commit these crimes.
The suspect was found in possession of various items like cellphones and other personal belongings including clothes.
Some of the items include dagga which was also found inside the suspect’s vehicle
His accomplice, also aged 35, was nabbed last week while at Thohoyandou precinct and remanded in police custody.
Richard Ntimbane appeared before the Thohoyandou Magistrate court on Friday 30 May 2025 and will join his co-accused in their next appearance on 10 June 2025 for formal bail application and profiling.
Police investigations are continuing.
