A BOYFRIEND (34) ARRESTED FOR AN ALLEGED MURDER OF A GIRLFRIEND AT MALAMULELE SECTION A
POLOKWANE: The members of Malamulele police have arrested a male suspect (34) after he allegedly stabbed his girlfriend to death at Malamulele Section A in the early hours of Friday 30 May 2025.
According to information received, the boyfriend knocked on the victim’s rental room at Malamulele Section A, and he was let in.
After a short while, the neighbours heard a fight in the victim’s room, resulting in the victim screaming for help.
When the neighbours arrived at the victims’ room, the suspect fled the scene.
The neighbours discovered the victim’s lifeless body in a pool of blood, with multiple stab wounds on her upper body, as well as the sharp object suspected to have been used to commit the heinous crime. They then notified the police and paramedics.
The emergency personnel services, upon arrival certified the victim dead at the scene.
A murder case was opened, and the investigation was activated.
The suspect was apprehended immediately in the bushes, with minor injuries. He is in the hospital receiving medical treatment, under police guard.
He will appear soon before Malamulele Magistrates Court facing a charge of murder.
The Provincial Commissioner of Police in Limpopo, Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe has condemned the incident and urged the couples to seek professional help when experiencing domestic challenges.
