A 20 YEAR-OLD MALE SUSPECT DUE TO APPEAR BEFORE PRAKTISEER MAGISTRATE COURT FACING A MURDER CHARGE OF A 24 YEAR-OLD MALE VICTIM
POLOKWANE: On wednesday 28 May 2025, a 20 year-old male suspect will appear before Praktiseer Magistrate court in connection with a charge of murder of a 24 year-old male victim on Monday 26 May 2025 at about 05:00.
Police were informed about a murder incident at a house in Praktiseer location in Sekhukhune District and rushed to the scene. On their arrival, they found a male victim lying on the ground with severe injuries on the upper body. The members of Emergency Medical Services were summoned at the scene and a 24 year-old male victim was pronounced dead on their arrival.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the incident occurred inside the house during a social gathering. An argument ensued between the duo and led to the victim being repeatedly stabbed with a sharp object and fatally wounded on the spot.
Following the incident, the suspect fled the scene and a murder case was opened at Tubatse police station. An immediate manhunt of the suspect was activated and resulted in his apprehension in the policing area.
Police investigations are continuing.
