MOKOPANE POLICE URGE THE PUBLIC TO PROVIDE VALUABLE INFORMATION THAT CAN LEAD TO ARREST OF UNKNOWN SUSPECTS RESPONSIBLE FOR A MURDER INCIDENT
POLOKWANE: The South African Police Service in Mokopane under Waterberg District are urging the members of the community to provide valuable information that can lead to the apprehension of unknown suspects responsible for a murder incident committed on Thursday 27 March 2025.
At about 19:50, it is reported that police received a complaint of a murder incident at Nyl Park, Kudu street and rushed to the vicinity. On their arrival at the scene found the members of Emergency Medical Services (EMS) who pointed out the lifeless body of a male victim lying on the ground with severe injuries and covered with a sheet.
Currently, the motive of the incident is unknown at this stage but police investigations are continuing.
According to a bystander at the scene, the victim was allegedly assaulted by the members of the community who suspected that he was trying to break-in at one of the residences in the area and they later fled the scene afterward.
The cause of death will be determined following the Forensic Pathology Postmortem that will be conducted in due course. The deceased believed to be in his forties was positively identified at the scene by the next of kin as Ernest Mthimkhulu, a Zimbabwean national.
