SENWABARWANA REGIONAL COURT CONDEMNED 21-YEAR-OLD MAN TO TWENTY YEARS FOR MURDER OF HIS BIOLOGICAL FATHER
POLOKWANE: The Regional Court in Senwabarwana has sentenced Noko Alfred Sehata (21) to twenty (20) years in prison for the murder of his biological father, Mokoena Bartlet Sehata (56), in March 2022.
The court noted that on the night of March 14, 2022, police responded to a murder scene at Marobjane Dikhomong village, where they discovered the victim’s body beneath a tree, bound with electric cables and set alight. Community members assisted in the swift arrest of the suspect, who was identified as the victim’s son.
The case was handled by Detective Sergeant Maimela Magwele of SAPS Senwabarwana, who worked diligently to ensure that justice was served. The matter was finalized on October 28, 2024.
The Provincial Commissioner of police in Limpopo, Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe commended the investigating officer and his team for their exceptional work in securing a sentence that reflects the severity of this brutal crime.
