TWO SUSPECTS APPEAR IN COURT FOR FARMER’S MURDER
Two accused have appeared in the Kuruman District Court on a charge of murder.
Four suspects were initially arrested in connection with the murder of 81-year-old Hendrik Venter on Friday, 27 September 2024, near Hotazel. After preliminary investigations and ongoing investigations into the matter, only two appeared in court.
Two other suspects in the matter, aged 18 and 20 years old respectively, were released. Currently, there is evidence against only two accused; the other two can be brought back later should an investigation link them to the crime.
Orabile Vincent Motsewakgosi (24) and Kabelo Tata (26) are remanded in custody until their next court appearance on 04 October 2024.
Investigations led by police are continuing in this matter.
