POLICE IN MANKWENG INVESTIGATE AN INQUEST AFTER THREE BOYS LOST THEIR LIVES IN MORONGOA PARK

POLOKWANE: Police in Mankweng are investigating an inquest docket after an incident in which three boys aged between 14 and 22 were found dead in their bedroom on Friday morning, 05 July 2024, at Morongoa Park in Ga-Mothiba.

Reports indicated that the Police were summoned to the scene, and upon arrival, they found three lifeless bodies of boys.

Preliminary investigations established that three boys who shared a bedroom went to sleep on Thursday, 04 July 2024, at around 21h00, and they took along braai stand with fire-coals to their room.

The following day, on Friday, 05 July 2024, at around 05h00, their family realized that they boys were motionless. They immediately activated the Police and EMS personnel. The boys were certified dead at the scene.

The Provincial Commissioner of Police in Limpopo Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe has warned the community against putting brazier in the household , rooms, or sleeping spaces during this chilling winter season . She further pointed out that the inhaling of the brazier and other related fires has proven to be a dangerous practice and has the potential to cause harm or death.

Police opened an inquest docket for further investigations.
