POLICE ARREST MALE SUSPECT AND ARE HARD ON THE HEELS OF HIS RELATIVE FOR FATALLY STABBING A 25 YEAR-OLD MAN IN GILEAD
POLOKWANE – The police in Gilead under Waterberg district have arrested a 28-year-old man and are searching for his male relative in connection with the murder of a 25-year-old man in the early hours of Sunday, 05 May 2024 in Strikwater village.
According to reports, the deceased’s girlfriend called her two male relatives to assist her after she got into a heated argument with her boyfriend near her residence.
Upon their arrival, the altercation escalated, resulting in the woman’s relatives stabbing the boyfriend with a sharp object.
Police and emergency medical services were summoned to the scene. The victim was certified dead on the scene. One suspect was arrested, and the other fled the scene.
The suspect will appear before Gilead Periodical Court on Monday, 06 May 2024, facing a charge of murder.
