NORTH WEST STOLEN MOTOR VEHICLE RECOVERED IN LIMPOPO

POLOKWANE: Hoopdal police recovered a stolen motor vehicle along Thabazimbi and Lephalale R510 Waterberg District on Saturday, 09, December 2023 at about 15:00.

Hoopdal Police Vispol members were conducting operation Vhathu Hawe (festive) when they stopped a suspicious motor vehicle, a Toyota sedan blue in colour with Mpumalanga registration.

It is alleged that the driver and passenger jumped out of the vehicle to the nearest bush to evade arrest.
The police chased them. The suspects were cautioned about wild animals, but they disregarded their advice and took to the wilderness.

A preliminary investigation revealed that the motor vehicle was reported stolen at Swartklipmine at North West, and Mogwase police were notified.
The vehicle was booked at Hoopdal police station.

The suspects are still at large. The police are appealing to anyone with information that can assist with the arrest of the suspects to contact crime stop number 0860010111 or nearest police station or share info on MySAPSApp.

Further investigation is still underway.
