GAUTENG PREMIER PANYAZA LESUFI WILL ON SUNDAY, 30 APRIL OFFICIALLY HOST THE PASSOUT PARADE FOR THE CRIME PREVENTION WARDENS
In his 2023 State of the Province Address, Gauteng Premier Panyaza Lesufi prioritized crime fighting.
He committed that his administration will talk less and do more.
As part of this commutment, starting from 1 May, 2023 the first cohort of Crime Prevention Wardens will start patrolling the streets of Gauteng, with the main focus being crime hotspots such as hostels, townships and informal settlements.
They will use e-policing solutions such as drones and helicopters in targeted areas.
On Sunday, Lesufi will officially release the wardens to the streets of Gauteng. Details are as follows:
