MUSINA POLICE ARREST A SUSPECT FOLLOWING BUSINESS ROBBERY
POLOKWANE: Musina Police have arrested a 30-year-old suspect, after business robbery incident that occurred on Monday, 09 February 2026, at about 13:40.
It is alleged that the complainant was inside his shop assisting customers when three unknown male suspects entered the premises wearing masks. One suspect, who was wearing a navy blue reflector jacket, was armed with a firearm, which he pointed at the complainant while ordering him to lie down. The suspects demanded money, searched the complainant, and robbed him of cash.
They further searched three employees and four customers, from whom they took money and a passport.
The suspects fled the scene in a grey double-cab motor vehicle.
During preliminary investigations, police followed up on information regarding the suspect’s vehicle and traced it to Bergview in Musina . Upon arrival, police found the vehicle parked inside the yard. The owner of the vehicle identified himself, and a search was conducted. A 9mm pistol was found in the vehicle and the suspect was arrested.
The suspect may be linked to other similar cases in the area as the investigation is ongoing.
The suspect is expected to appear before the Musina Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday, 11 February 2026.
