Airlink Suspends Flights to Maseru Due to Lack of Emergency Equipment

Airlink has suspended its daily flights between Johannesburg’s OR Tambo International Airport and Maseru’s Moshoeshoe International Airport due to the unavailability of fire and rescue services and essential equipment at the Lesotho airport.

The airline announced that all flights on the route have been cancelled until further notice, citing non-compliance with international civil aviation requirements for emergency response capabilities. Airlink will resume normal services once the airport operator restores the necessary emergency support services ¹ ².
