THE LIMPOPO POLICE RECOVERS A STOLEN VEHICLE WORTH R800, 000.00 ALONG N1 NORTH AND ARREST MALE SUSPECT AGED 35
POLOKWANE: Members of SAPS Limpopo Tracking Team, Polokwane Accident Response unit in collaboration with Tshimollo Security and Investigation arrested a 35-year-old man, on Monday, 18 August 2025 for possession of suspected stolen motor vehicle. This follows an alert about a stolen vehicle from Kempton Park policing area in Gauteng province.
The team reacted swiftly by patrolling possible roads after receiving the information. A grey Isuzu 250 Dteq-4×4 was then spotted along N1 North next to a lodge. They stopped the vehicle, and upon searching it, the driver, who is a South African, was found traveling alone. He was unable to produce the valid documents of the vehicle. He was arrested on the spot for possession of suspected stolen motor vehicle.
The Police established that the vehicle, a grey Isuzu 250 Dteq-4×4, is at a value of R800 000.
The Provincial Commissioner of Police in Limpopo, Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe, has welcomed the arrest and applauded members for always being dedicated to their duties as they continue to recover the stolen vehicles.
The arrested suspect will appear before the Polokwane Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday, 19 August 2025.
