About the Programme
The CPD Academy Learnership is designed to train professional truck drivers, not just help you get a licence.

This is a career-focused programme for the logistics and transport industry.
What You’ll Learn
You’ll be trained to:
- Drive heavy vehicles (over 3,500 kg GVM)
- Follow road safety & transport laws
- Plan trips and manage deliveries
- Inspect and maintain trucks
- Handle transport documentation
Earnings & Benefits
- You start earning from Month 3
- Potential income after training:
- R12,000 – R26,000/month (depending on placement)
This is one of the few learnerships that can lead directly to a high-paying skill.
Important Reality Check
This is NOT for beginners.
You must already have:
- A Code 14 (EC) truck licence
- A PrDP (Professional Driving Permit)
So this is more like advanced training, not entry-level.
Minimum Requirements
You must:
- Be 25–35 years old
- Have at least Grade 10
- Have:
- Valid Code 14 EC licence
- Valid PrDP
- Valid passport
- Have a clean criminal record
- Pass:
- Psychometric test
- Interview
