HAWKS SEIZED ELECTRONIC DEVICES FROM MUNICIPAL OFFICIALS
Limpopo: The Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation in collaboration with Vhembe based Public Order Police and Tactical Response Team have searched seized the electronic devices at Thulamela Local Municipality outside Thohoyandou on 03 September 2024.
During operation, the team presented search warrants to the affected municipal employees.
The electronic devices believed to be necessary for investigation of alleged fraud and corruption were seized.
The Provincial Head of the Hawks in Limpopo Province Major General (Adv) Gopz Govender hailed the team for the massive operation.
Major General Govender said the Hawks launched operation correction to remove all corrupt members from the government and private sectors.
The Hawks operations are still ongoing within Limpopo Province.
