A 66-YEAR-OLD MALE SUSPECT APPEAR BEFORE COURT FOR POSSESSION OF SUSPECTED STOLEN LIVESTOCK

POLOKWANE: A male suspect aged 66 appeared before Senwabarwana Magistrate’s court on charges of possession of suspected stolen livestock on Friday 06 September 2024 and the matter was postponed to Monday 14 October 2024 for further investigation.

The suspect was released on three hundred rand (R300.00) bail.

He was arrested for possession of a suspected stolen livestock incident that took place at Taaibosch village, Maleboho policing area, Capricorn District on Thursday 05 September 2024. 

According to information, police received a tip-off regarding the cattle that are suspected to be stolen, and the suspect was ready to take the cattle to the auction the following day.

Upon arrival at the suspect’s residence in Taaibosch 6 cattle, a cattle-railed trailer was discovered.

The suspect failed to provide authentic documentation to be in possession of cattle, and he was immediately arrested on the spot. 
All cattle valued at sixty thousand rand (R60 000). 

Five cattle and Trailer were impounded during the arrest. 

One cattle was identified by owner with brand mark, staying at Mashamaite Maleboho.

Police urge anyone who has lost cattle in Capricorn District to contact the investigating officer, Sergeant Noko Manaka, on 076 482 4352, crime stop number 08600 10111, the nearest police station, or share information on MySAPSApp. 

Police investigations are still ongoing.
