17 SUSPECTS ARRESTED, 32 ILLEGAL FIREARMS RECOVERED IN TWEELAGTE
NORTH WEST: Seventeen suspects were arrested in Tweelagte near Sun City and thirty-two unlicensed firearms were recovered by members of the Hawks’ Tactical Operations Management Section assisted by Gauteng Traffic Saturation unit.
A complaint was received that owners and staff at a Chrome wash plant were having their lifes threatened which prompted TOMS to follow up. Whilst the members were conducting their preliminary investigation, they received information about the whereabouts of the suspects allegedly in six bakkies. The team reacted swiftly and arrested the suspects as well as removing 32 unlicensed firearms from society.
The suspects will appear in court soon.
