A 44-YEAR-OLD SUSPECT, APPEARED IN MALAMULELE MAGISTRATE’S COURT FOR MURDER
POLOKWANE: A 44-year-old suspect, Norman Lawrence Ndukwane, arrested in connection with the murder of his girlfriend aged 32, appeared before Malamulele Magistrate’s Court, on Tuesday, 16 July 2024. He was remanded custody until 21 August 2024 formal bail application.
His arrest comes after, the Police responded to a report of Assault GBH at Mahonisi village in the early hours of Sunday, 14 July 2024.
It is allegedl that a dispute between a female victim and her boyfriend escalated at a tavern, prompting the woman to flee. Tragically, the boyfriend pursued her and struck her with a brick along the way.
Despite the swift response of the Police and Emergency Medical Services (EMS) personnel, the victim, identified as Marima Nhlanhla (32) from Mahonisi village, succumbed to her injuries at the local hospital.
Subsequently, a murder case was opened, leading to the arrest of the boyfriend as the prime suspect.
