44-YEAR-OLD SUSPECTED DRUG DEALER TO APPEAR IN COURT
POLOKWANE – A 44-year-old foreign national male suspect is due to appear in the Tzaneen Magistrate’s Court on Friday, 12 July 2024, for possession and dealing in drugs.
The suspect was arrested on Thursday morning, 11 July , by the Provincial Narcotics Organised Crime Unit in collaboration with other operational teams during an intelligence driven operation.
The operational teams kept observation in Tzaneen Central Business District where, they spotted the suspect’s vehicle; a white Datsun, at a parking lot.
They approached the vehicle and found one male inside. A thorough search was conducted inside the vehicle, which led to the discovery of cocaine and crystal meth with the estimated street value of R10 000-00. The suspect’s vehicle was also confiscated during the arrest.
Provincial Commissioner of Limpopo Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe has praised the SAPS members for their continued effort to combat drug-related crime in the province.
