THOHOYANDOU POLICE INVESTIGATE A CASE OF CARJACKING OCCURRED IN MAUGANI VILLAGE

POLOKWANE: Thohoyandou Police, Vehicle Crime Investigation Unit (VCIU) are investigating a case of carjacking, which occurred at Maugani village, on Sunday, 16 June 2024 at around 18:30.

According to information received, the complainant, who is a maxi taxi driver, was at the local mall when a male client requested transport to Maugani village. On arrival at the village, the male passenger produced firearm and pointed the driver.

The driver jumped out of the moving vehicle, and the suspect drove away with the vehicle, a grey Toyota Corolla with registration number HFJ141L.

Police were notified and opened a case of carhijacking. The docket was transferred to Thohoyandou VCIU for further investigations.
