MURDER SUSPECT AT SENGATANE VILLAGE NABBED AFTER HE HANDED HIMSELF TO THE POLICE
POLOKWANE: A 50-year-old male suspect has been nabbed after he handed himself to the Seshego Police on the evening of Saturday, 08 June 2024.
This comes after the suspect allegedly stabbed his 49-year-old wife in the early hours of Wednesday, 05 June 2024.
It is reported that the murder incident happened after the victim and her husband had a heated argument, and in the process, the husband stabbed her wife with a sharp object on her upper body and subsequently fled the scene.
The Police and emergency medical services were alerted, and the victim was certified dead on arrival.
A case of murder was opened was placed under investigation.
The Provincial Commissioner of Limpopo SAPS, Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe, has welcomed the arrest. She said we call upon everyone in the communities to play a part of fighting against GBVF, as we see that the vulnerable groups such as women and children are continuously being victimized by the people who are supposed to protect them,” concluded Lieutenant General Hadebe.
