THOHOYANDOU POLICE OPENED RAPE CASE OF A 24 YEAR-OLD WOMAN IN TSHISAULU VILLAGE

POLOKWANE: The South African Police Service in Thohoyandou have opened a rape case of a 24 year-old female victim who was reportedly raped at Tshisaulu village next to Global Filling station on Sunday 02 June 2024 at about 20:00.

The victim was allegedly walking to the spaza shop together with a companion when they met two unknown males who stopped in front of them. The companion managed to run away, but a 24 year-old woman was grabbed by one of the suspects who forcefully pulled her to a nearby shack.

On arrival, the victim was overpowered and untimely raped by the suspect. Afterward, the victim was later released and went to inform her family about the ordeal. The victim was rushed to a local hospital for medical treatment and the matter was later reported at Thohoyandou police station.

A rape case was opened and a manhunt of the two unknown male suspects have since been launched for their apprehension.
