HLOGOTLOU POLICE ON THE HUNT FOR SUSPECTS WHO SHOT AND INJURED PROMINENT BUSINESSMAN AND HIS BOGYGUARD

POLOKWANE- Hlogotlou Police in Sekhukhune District have launched a massive manhunt for suspects who shot and injured a well-known businessman (57), and his bodyguard (33), near Mogaung village on Friday, 31 May 2024 at about 19:45.

According to preliminary reports, the victims were driving along the R574 heading towards Monsterlus, and when they reached the speed hump near Mogaung village, unknown suspects driving in a dark blue sedan Mercedes-Benz fired several shots at them.

The businessman was shot on the arm, and his bodyguard alighted from the vehicle and fired several shots back at the suspects. He suffered multiple gunshot wounds in the process.

The suspects fled the scene without taking anything from the victims.

The injured victims were transported to the hospital for immediate medical attention.

Police have opened two counts of attempted murder.
