TZANEEN POLICE INVESTIGATE A CASE OF ATTEMPTED MURDER AND ROBBERY WITH FIREARM AT THE FARM
POLOKWANE: Police in Tzaneen are investigating a case of attempted murder and robbery with a firearm that took place at a farm in Tzaneen, on Thursday, 16 May 2024.
The victim was with his friend, walking at the farm when an unknown African male emerged from the bushes, holding a firearm, approached them.
He then demanded the cellphones from the two victims. He further instructed them to put down their cellphones, and they did as instructed, as soon as he picked up the cellphones that was on the ground, one victim attempted to take away the firearm and the suspect fired one shot.
The victims managed to escape from the suspect in a different direction. Second victim realized that he had been shot on left leg, he then went to the nearby hospital for medical treatment.
Later on, they reported the incident to the police, and an attempted murder and robbery with firearm case was opened.
