A MURDER CASE OF AN UNKNOWN MALE VICTIM OPENED BY MOTETEMA POLICE FOLLOWING A BRUTAL ASSAULT NEXT TO A FILLING STATION

POLOKWANE: A murder case of an unknown male victim has been opened by the police in Motetema under Sekhukhune District following a brutal assault at Manapyane village in the early hours of Wednesday 08 May 2024 at about 00:50.

Police were alerted about an unknown male who was brutally assaulted and lying on the street next to a local filling station and rushed to the vicinity.

Upon arrival, they found an unknown male who was tied with a rope on his hands and legs. The victim was bleeding profusely on the upper body and there were many stones around him that indicated that he was severely assaulted with them.

The victim was wearing a blue work suit with pants lowered to his knees but could not speak properly due to his injuries and managed to tell the police that his name was Godson from Leeuwfontein village.

Afterwards, the members of the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) were summoned at the scene and the victim was later transported to the hospital for medical treatment.

Unfortunately, an unknown male victim succumbed to his severe injuries during the day while admitted in hospital.

Currently, the victim is unknown and enyone who might have lost a family member or friend is encouraged to visit the local police station for assistance with positive identification of the deceased.

Following the incident, police investigations are currently underway to track änd trace the unknown suspects.
