LIMPOPO PROVINCIAL COMMISSIONER CONDEMNS ACTS OF PUBLIC INDECENCY FOLLOWING A VIDEO CIRCULATING ON SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORMS

POLOKWANE: The Provincial Commissioner of Police in Limpopo, Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe has condemned the acts of public indecency following an immoral video depicting a male and female in one of the liquor outlet at Phooko Village in Sekgosese policing precinct. The incident is reported to have occurred on Sunday, 05 May 2024 at around 20:30.

The complainant in this case reported the said video circulating on the social media platforms and its disturbing content. It is alleged that the male suspect is mentally challenged, while the woman is alleged to be a stripper at the bar lounge.

A case of public indecency was opened for further investigation and Limpopo Liquor Board was also notified for further handling.

“The members of the public are called to resist from the temptation of engaging in such immoral practices especially in public places. We believe people going to liquor outlets are adults, so they should conduct themselves as such. They also have a responsibility to respect themselves and others at all material times.” said Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe.

“Lastly, we call upon the social media community to stop sharing this video in any form on any digital media platforms ,” concluded Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe.

The suspects are not yet arrested, and Police requests anyone with positive information regarding the whereabouts of the suspects to urgently contact the investigating officer Warrant Officer Mokibelo Sekgobela on 0795025256 or crime stop number on 0860010111 or nearest police station or MySAPSApp.

The Police investigations are continuing.
