FAKE TEACHER FOUND GUILTY FOR FRAUD

NORTHERN CAPE – A udrey Taku (60), was found guilty by the Kimberley Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, 20 March 2024 on charges of fraud.

During January 2017, the accused defrauded Northern Cape Department of Education by submitting fraudulent certificate claiming that she’s a qualified teacher. The department employed her and worked as a teacher at Schmidtsdrif Primary School without a valid teaching qualification and or South African Council for Educators (SACE) certificate which enables one to teach.
