BELA-BELA ESCAPEE REARRESTED
POLOKWANE: A 31-year-old Jimmy Chauke who escaped from lawful custody on Wednesday, 07 February 2024, at about 08:05 is rearrested
The police received information about the suspect’s whereabouts, immediately followed up ,on the information, and managed to rearrest the suspect , at Masakhane village in Bela Bela policng area on Thursday 2024/02/08 at about 22h00.
The Acting Provincial Commissioner of the South African Police Service in Limpopo, Major General Jan Scheepers, appreciated the good cooperation as well as teamwork between Police and community , which resulted in the rearrest of the suspect
The suspect will appear before Belabela Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 12 February 2024, on charges of escaping from lawful custody and burglary residence.
Police investigations are still continuing.
