MALE SUSPECT NABBED FOR POSSESSION OF DAGGA DURING DISRUPTIVE OPERATION IN VAALWATER

POLOKWANE- A joint disruptive operation conducted in Vaalwater by the station members together with other disciplines resulted in the arrest of a 33-year-old male suspect for dealing in dagga.

On Wednesday, 07 February 2024, the multidisciplinary team conducted a disruptive operations and pounced on the male suspect at his residence in Leseding Extension 2, where they confiscated 2.8 kg of dagga worth the estimate street value of over R 7000 and undisclosed amount cash believed to be proceeds of crime.

The Acting Provincial Commissioner Major General Jan Scheepers has welcomed the arrest and urged communities to continue working with the police to remove drugs from the streets.

The suspect is expected to appear before Modimolle Magistrate’s Court on Thursday, 08 February 2024, on a charge of dealing in dagga
