ALLEGED INSTIGATORS OF JULY 2021 PUBLIC VIOLENCE MAKE FIRST APPEARANCE IN THE HIGH COURT
The case of the 65 alleged instigators charged in connection with the unrest and public violence that occurred in July 2021, in various parts of KwaZulu-Natal, returned to court today, where they made their first High Court appearance.
They face charges of conspiracy to commit public violence, incitement to commit public violence; terrorism, sedition, and conspiracy to commit murder; amongst others.
The matter was adjourned to 08 April 2024, for some of the accused to finalise their legal representation.
