TWO MAN KILLED IN ACTS OF MOB ATTACKS

ACTING PROVINCIAL COMMISSIONER CONDEMNS KILLING OF TWO MEN IN MOB RELATED ATTACKS

POLOKWANE The Acting Provincial Commissioner of Police in Limpopo, Major General Jan Scheepers, has condemned the killing of two unknown males in a mob justice related attacks at Ivy Park ,Capricorn District and at Seokodibeng village, Sekhukhune District.

The police at Westernburg were alerted about the discovery of an unknown African male lying in the middle of the street at Ivypark , Polokwane, with multiple injuries and bleeding on the head on Monday, 15 January 2024.

Emergency personnel were called, and they declared the victim dead on the scene .

The second incident took place at Seokodibeng village in Fetakgomo on Tuesday, 16 January 2024 at about 13:00, a lifeless body of an unknown male suspected to be a foreign national was found along the street with burned wounds and injuries on his body.

The motives in both incidents are unknown at this stage.

The Acting The Provincial Commissioner has ordered an immediate probe into the murders.”

” We strongly condemn acts of vigilantism and therefore appeal to communities not to commit these acts. The law will deal decisively with those who commit such acts, ” said General Scheepers
