MUSINA POLICE LAUNCH A MANHUNT FOR GUEST HOUSE ROBBERY SUSPECTS

POLOKWANE: The police in Musina are hard on the heels of unknown suspects who committed a business robbery at a guest house on Tuesday, 16 January 2024.

Reportedly, a 27 year-old employee was sleeping in the premises together with his two colleagues when they heard noise outside.

The victim peeped through the window and saw six male suspects who were in possession of firearms.

The suspects allegedly broke the door of the room, which was next to his and forcefully gained entry and later broke into his room.

The victim was taken to another room and found his two colleagues holding their hands up, and they showed the suspects two safes containing an undisclosed amount of cash.

The suspects took both safes and started to search the premises and managed to take two solar batteries, solar panels, and an inverter.

Afterwards, the suspects searched the trio and took three cellphones before fleeing the scene with an unknown motor vehicle.

A manhunt for the suspects who were speaking Tsonga, Ndebele, and Tshivhenda languages is currently underway.
