SIX SUSPECTS APPEAR BEFORE LULEKANI MAGISTRATE’S COURT FOR CONTRAVENTION OF IMMIGRATION ACT
POLOKWANE: Six female suspects between the ages of 31 and 54 appeared before Lulekani Magistrate’s court on Tuesday, 12 December 2023 for Contravention of the Immigration Act, and their cases were remanded to Monday 18, December 2023 for further investigation.
The members of SAPS Provincial Organized Crime arrested six female suspects during an illegal mining operation conducted at Selwane Mining Area, Mopani District, on Sunday 10 December 2023.
It is alleged that the arrested suspects are the ones who supplied food and beverages to the illegal miners, and they were arrested at the Selwane Mining area.
During the operation, the following equipments were recovered:
2 generators, 1 Jack hammer, 9 sharp digging irons, 4 picks, 2 pangas, 3 shovels, 2 knives, beverages including alcohols among other items.
All six suspects appeared before Lulekani Magistrate’s court on Tuesday, 12 December 2023 and their cases were remanded to Monday 18, December 2023 for further investigation.
The last court order will grant the mandate.
