COMMISSIONER CALLS FOR THE SWIFT ARREST OF SUSPECTS INVOLVED IN MURDER CASES AT SESHEGO POLICING PRECINCT

POLOKWANE: The Provincial Commissioner of Police in Limpopo, Lieutenant General Thembi has called for the swift arrest of suspects involved in the three murder incidents that took place at two separate locations under Seshego policing precinct over the weekend.

On Friday 08 December 2023 at about 21:20, a 48 year-old male residing at Moletjie, Ga-Komape village was shot dead together with his shepherd believed to be a Lesotho National while seated inside a Silver Grey Toyota Corolla motor vehicle.

It is reported that two unknown male suspects approached the motor vehicle and immediately fired multiple shots at the duo on the forehead and chest.

Afterwards, the suspects fled the scene with the victim’s motor vehicle which was later found abandoned next to another local tavern in the vicinity.

The duo were later declared dead upon arrival of the members of the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) at the scene.

The second horrendous incident took place in the early hours of Saturday, 09 December 2023 at about 00:30 in Moletjie, Mabokele village next to Seshego High school.

The deceased whose age is still to be determined was walking on the street with his girlfriend when they were attacked by two unknown male suspects.

Unfortunately, the victim was stabbed with a sharp object on the chest before being robbed off a cellphone. The suspects managed to flee the scene on foot.

The victim was rushed to Seshego hospital but succumbed to his injuries while admitted for medical treatment after few hours.

The deceased were later identified by their relatives and a manhunt have since been launched for the unknown suspects.
